As sustainability manager for our construct business you will lead our pursuit of a sustainable world across the Mace construct business, providing a great opportunity to deliver many of the most sustainable buildings and infrastructure projects in the built environment.

You'll be responsible for: - Managing the strategic direction on sustainability for the Mace construct business, setting priorities and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Ensuring effective and efficient delivery of sustainability services across all projects to agreed quality, scope, time and budget.
- Educating and engaging Mace people to drive sustainability-related outcomes on projects and embed sustainability into the core business .
- Engagement with client organisations to ensure alignment with their corporate strategies and service requirements of Mace construct.
- Line management, recruitment, resourcing and retentionfor the team of technical experts, including delivering performance management, technical development, direction and coaching .
- Engagement with key client organisations to ensure alignment with their corporate strategies and service requirementsofMace construct.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, corporate and client commitments, including owning and updating policies, processes and management systems.
- Ownership of sustainability data monitoring and reporting to inform corporate/external reporting (i.e. board reports, annual ESG data, RE100, CDP and Ecovadis submissions) .
- Sharing knowledge and creating thought leadership for internal and external stakeholders, helping to raise awareness of industry best practice.
You'll need to have: - Expertise in delivery of sustainability in construction, and an understanding of social value services.
- A passion for sustainability, and the ability to engage and excite internal and external stakeholders to help drive and realise purpose-led projects.
- Strong people leadership skills, able to engage, motivate and coach others at all levels, role modelling inspirational and inclusive leadership.
- Experience working with C-suite and strong presentation skills; presents clearly and confidently with their audience in mind.
- Agility and comfort with change, being able to navigate and respond, managing risks and opportunities arising from the fast-paced evolution of the discipline.
